Lim Lee Meng Appointed Economic and Trade Advisor to Jiangsu’s Commerce Department

Lim Lee Meng, China Practice Advisor of RSM in Singapore, the CPA arm of Stone Forest, has been appointed as Economic and Trade Advisor to the Department of Commerce of China’s Jiangsu province.

In this role, he is well-positioned to assist foreign companies that seek to invest or do business in Jiangsu and connect them directly with the relevant local officials. He is also well-placed to help Chinese firms that wish to invest overseas.

As Economic and Trade Advisor, Lee Meng is tasked with advising on policies and laws relating to economic initiatives that involve collaboration between foreign and local firms. He will also recommend cooperative business projects and assist in the organisation of events to promote Jiangsu’s economy, as well as formulate trade and investment proposals within the framework of China’s growth model.

“I am pleased to be given the opportunity to play a key role in helping foreign firms establish operations or do business in Jiangsu to grow the local economy, and in assisting Chinese firms that seek to expand overseas,” Lee Meng said. “With the highest per capita income among all the Chinese provinces, Jiangsu is one of the country’s most economically competitive regions and a market that cannot be ignored by foreign firms wishing to do business in China.”
